Screening of the classic film, “Wait Until Dark (1967)” postponed to 13th July…

Due to Unavoidable circumstances, the screening of “Wait Until Dark” is postponed to next Thursday, i.e. 13th July 2023. 

The Cinephile Film club of  ESG will be screening of the classic film  “Wait Until Dark (1967)” starring Audrey Hepburn and Arkin on 13th July, as a tribute to actor Alan Arkin who passed away recently. The Film will be screened at Maquinez palace, Audi I, ESG at 6:30 p.m.  Details as given below.

Based on the play of the same name by Frederick Knott. that came out a year before, the film has  Audrey Hepburn as a blind woman, Alan Arkin as a criminal along with Richard Crenna  Jack Weston, Julie Herrod, and Efrem Zimbalist Jr.in supporting roles. The trio of criminals terrorizes the blind lady, who has to fend for herself, resulting in a memorable climax. 

This was one of the earlier films in Arkin’s illustrious career, he was nominated thrice for the Oscar and won it for Little Miss Sunshine, (2007).
