The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is one of India’s most prominent cinematic events, organized annually by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in collaboration with the Government of Goa and the Indian film industry, with the Entertainment Society of Goa serving as the nodal agency in the state.Recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations, IFFI holds international accreditation, placing it among a select group of globally acknowledged film festivals. Since its permanent relocation to Goa, the festival has grown in stature and scale, becoming a major cultural and cinematic platform in the country.IFFI showcases a diverse selection of films from across the world, including feature films, documentaries, and short films, spanning multiple genres and languages. The festival includes curated sections such as international competition, Indian panorama, retrospectives, tributes, and thematic packages, offering audiences exposure to global cinema trends as well as regional storytelling.The festival attracts a wide spectrum of participants, including filmmakers, producers, actors, technicians, critics, scholars, and cinema enthusiasts from India and abroad. It serves as a vital networking and knowledge-sharing platform through film screenings, panel discussions, master-classes, and workshops conducted by renowned industry professionals.In addition to promoting cinematic excellence, IFFI plays a significant role in fostering cultural exchange, encouraging co-productions, and showcasing India as a hub for filmmaking and creative collaboration. Its presence has also contributed to positioning Goa as a key destination for international film tourism and industry engagement.

::Goa State Film Festival (GSFF)::

The festival is the biennial festival which includes Feature and Non- feature films. The festival serves as a major platform for promoting Goan regional cinema and nurturing local talent. It often includes workshops, panel discussions, and interactive sessions that enable knowledge exchange, skill enhancement, and exposure to evolving trends in filmmaking, including digital and independent production techniques. The festival also recognizes excellence through a structured awards system, covering both feature and non-feature categories.

::Transcend Goa::

Transcend Goa 2026 is India’s first dedicated summit centered on transmedia storytelling, intellectual property (IP) innovation, and cross-platform creative collaboration. Envisioned as a pioneering platform, the summit seeks to position Goa as a hub for next-generation storytelling by bringing together diverse stakeholders from across the global creative ecosystem. The summit will convene filmmakers, animators, game designers, comic book creators, immersive media artists, artificial intelligence (AI) technologists, IP strategists, content producers, and investors. By fostering dialogue and collaboration among these sectors, Transcend Goa aims to bridge traditional storytelling with emerging technologies and new media formats. The programme will feature a comprehensive mix of keynote addresses by industry leaders, panel discussions, hands-on transmedia labs, startup showcases, and curated project presentations. These sessions will explore the convergence of film, gaming, animation, virtual and augmented reality, and AI-driven storytelling, offering participants insights into evolving audience engagement models and monetization strategies in the digital era. A key focus of the summit is capacity building and industry linkage. It aims to upskill over 200 creators in multi-platform content development, equipping them with the tools and knowledge required to develop scalable, IP-driven narratives across formats. Additionally, the summit is designed to facilitate 5–7 pilot partnerships between creators, studios, technology providers, and investors, thereby enabling the incubation and development of innovative transmedia projects. Through its structured programming and collaborative environment, Transcend Goa 2026 aspires to catalyze innovation, encourage IP creation, and strengthen India’s position in the global creative economy, while fostering a sustainable and future-ready creative ecosystem

::International Purple Festival::

The International Purple Fest is annual arts and culture festival celebrating persons with disabilities (PwDs)focusing on empowerment, accessibility, and social integration. It promotes diversity through cultural events, integrated programs, exhibitions, performances and policy dialogues.

Role:-

Entertainment Society of Goa serves as the venue partner and is responsible for hospitality and transport arrangements for the event.

::Goa Anti-Tobacco Film Festival::

The Goa Anti-Tobacco Film Festival is conceptualized with the aim to create awareness and reach out to the public through Ad Films competition and screening of the same to spread the message of harmful effects of Tobacco use, it’s ill effects and also to decrease the incidence of Oral Cancer and heart diseases in Goa, and also for the promotion of film art.

::Chintan Shivir 2023::

A two-day Chintan Shivir organized by ESG on behalf of Government of Goa in June 2023, with deliberations on the good governance model, drawing an agenda for the state’s vision for 2047.

Hon’ble Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant chaired the event, which saw the active participation of all the cabinet ministers of Goa government and senior officials.

::Science Film Festival ( SCI-FFI)::

The Science Film Festival of India (SCIFFI) is the flagship annual initiative of VidnyanParishad Goa, aimed at fostering scientific temper and promoting science communication through the medium of cinema, workshops, in-conversations, exhibitions, demonstrations, outdoor and indoor activity for all age groups.

::International Blockchain Congress::

International Blockchain Congress organised by National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog in collaboration with Department of Information and Technology, Government of Goa, and Nucleus Vision International at Inox. 

::Itanagar International Film Festival (IIFF)::

Itanagar International Film Festival (IIFF) 2019, a three-day film festival organised by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), government of Arunachal Pradesh and was managed by ESG. The festival aims at promoting north-eastern and tribal films, critically acclaimed films from different corners of the world.
