The Cinephile Film Club of ESG will be screening of Blow Up (1966, English,111 mins) directed by Michelangelo Antonioni on 1st Feb 2024 at Maquinez palace, Audi I, ESG.
This was the Italian master director’s first English film and it won the Palm d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, along with several other accolades. The film had a profound impact worldwide and the cult Hindi classic, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron pays tribute to this film and borrows a subplot. David Hemmings plays a fashion photographer who follows two lovers in a park but accidentally captures a death on camera, the film also stars Vanessa Redgrave. Even though the premise sounds like a mystery film, there is much more to it than that.
The screening is free for members of the club and Rs.120 for non-members.
