Screening of 3 short films on 22nd June at the Cinephile Film club.

To commemorate the forthcoming death anniversary of Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of Sherlock Holmes, the most popular fictional detective ever, the Cinephile Film club will be screening three short telefilms, with Jeremy Brett, the definitive Sherlock Holmes, in the lead role on 22nd June 2023. Film critic and member of the Sherlock Holmes Society, Sachin Chatte will present the films.  With Holmes and Watson being ever so popular this timeless classic series was produced between 1984 to ’94 and is considered the best and most accurate representation of Arthur Conan Doyle’s stories. Screening of these films will be at Maquinez palace, Audi I, at 6:30 p.m. The details are given below:

The Adventure of the Second Stain (51 mins) – A story in which the Prime Minister of England himself comes to Sherlock Holmes to ask him to retrieve a missing document, which could lead to war. Murder, mystery, and espionage, this story has it all.

The Adventure of the Priory School (52 mins) – Holmes is called to solve the case when a 10-year-old boy, who is the son of a rich Duke, goes missing from school.

The Adventure of the Dancing Men (52 mins) – One of the most innovative stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, it revolves around almost childish drawings of dancing men that bother a lady and her husband seeks help from Holmes to solve the mystery.
