Goa State Film Festival 2025 Concludes with Grand Closing Ceremony

The 10th, 11th, and 12th editions of the Goa State Film Festival 2025 came to a fitting close with a grand ceremony held at Kala Academy, Panaji, on 17th August 2025. The event was graced by Dr. Pramod Sawant, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, along with distinguished guests including Smt. Delilah M. Lobo, MLA, Siolim Constituency & Vice Chairperson of ESG; Shri. Damu Naik, film personality & Ex Vice Chairman of ESG; Shri. Ashwin Chandru, IAS, CEO of ESG; Shri. Dipak Bandekar, Director, Dept. of Information & Publicity, and other dignitaries

The Lifetime Achievement Award was conferred upon Smt. Varsha Usgaonkar, renowned actress, singer, model, and social worker from Goa, for her remarkable contributions to Hindi, Marathi, and Konkani cinema.

The recognition of Goan Film Legacy was posthumously awarded to Late Baba Naik for his contribution to Goan cinema. Additionally, the jury members of feature and non-feature films were felicitated for their work and dedication

The awards for the three editions were announced as follows:

  • 10th Edition (2018–2019)

    • Best Feature Film – Juze (14 awards)

  • 11th Edition (2020–2021)

    • Best Feature Film – Ransaavat (7 awards)

    • Best Non-Feature Film – Kupamcho Daryeo (5 awards)

  • 12th Edition (2022–2023)

    • Best Feature Film – Mog (8 awards)

    • Best Non-Feature Film – Gathan (3 awards)

The ceremony was further elevated by captivating performances – Sonia Sirsat, Goa’s celebrated singer, enthralled the audience, alongside singer Ajit Parab. Popular acts were presented by Bharat & More of Chala Hawa Yeu Dya fame, as well as Vardhan and group, leaving the audience entertained and inspired
