Director Robert Bresson was an institution in himself having inspired countless filmmakers across the globe, with his unique style of storytelling. Based on Leo Tolstoy’s story ‘The Forged Coupon’, this was Bresson’s last film, in his illustrious career. L’Argent is about a forged note that passes from hand to hand till it reaches the main protagonist and results in a dire situation.
