Even though it was his first film, he convinced the legendary Miles Davis to score the music score and the overall impact was nothing short of groundbreaking. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Adapted from the novel by Noel Calif,\u00a0<em>Elevator to the Gallows<\/em>\u00a0is about Florence (Jeanne Moreau) and Julien (Maurice Ronet) who works for her husband. The two lovers plot a crime but it goes awry when Julien gets\u00a0caught in\u00a0a situation. Apart from Malle&#8217;s direction and the music score by Davis which was totally improvised, the actress Jeanne Moreau also received praise for her performance.
