This Thursday 19th September at 6.30 p.m. the film club curated by Sachin Chatte will be screening the Polish film, Camera Buff (1979) directed by the legendary film maker Krzysztof Kieslowski. The details are as given below –

Directed by Krzysztof Kieslowski, one of the most respected names in world cinema Camera Buff was his first film to receive considerable international acclaim before he went on the make Dekalog and the Three Colors trilogy. Camera Buff is about a working class man who buys a movie camera as a hobby, when his child is born. After the local party asks him to film a celebration that is coming up, his hobby turns into obsession and his life is taken over by filming whatever is around. Dealing with themes of individuality, art and expression, the film won a handful of awards when it was released with actor Jerzy Stuhr coming in for special praise.
