This Thursday 16th January 6.30 pm we will be screening the film Fahrenheit 451 (1966) directed by Francois Truffaut, at Maquinez Palace, Auditorium I of Entertainment Society of Goa. The screening of the film is curated by Sachin Chatte. The details are as given below –

Based on the popular novel of the same name by Ray Bradburry, Fahrenheit 451 was Francois Truffaut’s only film in English and it was also his first color film. Set in the future, this dystopian tale is about firemen who burn all the literature around, if it is found. One of the firemen develops a conscience and starts reading a book that he supposed to burn. Nominated for the Golden Lion at Venice, Martin Scorsese has called the film an “underrated picture” which had influenced his own films.
