Goa Calling! ESG GIM’- a national level case study competition

Entertainment Society of Goa in collaboration with Goa Institute of Management invites students from business schools, across the country, to participate in ‘Goa Calling! ESG GIM’- a national level case study competition. Winners of the challenge will be awarded Rs. 40,000 and the runner-ups will be awarded Rs. 20,000 each for the second place.

The contest has been divided into two phases. In phase 1, students must register at www.esg.co.in/register to gain access to the case study. A preliminary analysis of the case study should be mailed to dr.pravat.cem.goa@gim.ac.in , in a MS Word document, in the format given below, on or before 19th January, 2019.

In round 2, students shortlisted basis their preliminary analysis, will be invited to Goa for a final presentation, details of which would be emailed separately. Outstation teams will be given a fixed allowance towards return fares, equivalent to railway 2-tier AC and a one-night complimentary accommodation (in a budget hotel or a circuit house).

Identification of symptoms (1/2 page max) Symptoms are indicators of problems
Max. 3 Problem statements (1/2 page max) Problems should be actionable for the analysis
Problem Analysis (3/4 to 1-page max.) Problems are dissected to analyze key factors or issues
Identification and Evaluation of Alternatives Arguments for and against each alternative (1/2 page max / each problem)
Final Course of Action (2-page max) The most effective and feasible solution only. Do not recommend new research.
Hiring consultant, setting task force, etc. you are the consultant!
Implementation plan (1 page max) Timeframe. Tentative budget/Monetary implication
