With Goa becoming the permanent venue of the International Film Festival of India, the ESG also publishes Peacock, the official daily of the festival. Besides, there are number of Goan publications and electronic media that covers the film festival, this workshop will benefit all and sundry as far as reporting and writing on cinema is concerned.

  • This workshop will be held on 28th & 29th October 2017 between 4 to 8 pm

  • A certificate will be issued by The Entertainment Society on successful completion of this course.

 

The two days Film Journalism Workshop was held at the Entertainment Society of Goa, Panaji, with the participation of 45 participants who were benefitted as far as reporting and writing on cinema is concerned.

The resource persons included Rajeev Masand, Namrata Joshi and Shubhra Gupta.  Shri Sachin Chate introduced the guests.

Rajeev Masand is the Entertainment Editor of CNN-IBN and one of India’s most popular film critics who hosts his show on CNN-IBN. Starting his career as a film journalist at a very young age, he has interviewed film makers and actors not just from India but from around the globe.

Namrata Joshi is a National Award winning film critic who presently writes for The Hindu. After a decade and a half long stint at the magazine Outlook in Delhi, she moved to Mumbai. A member of FIPRESCI, the international federation of film critics based in Munich, she has served on jury of several national and international film festivals.

The third resource person, Shubhra Gupta is the film critic and senior columnist for The Indian Express and is known for her incisive writing on cinema.

The two days workshop was concluded on 29th Oct and the certificate were issued by The Entertainment Society on successful completion of this course.
